| Dale
Moon appeared at R.E.T. Percussion's booth at the
2007 Winter NAMM Show, performing tracks from Rate
Of Change, the newest release from the Travis Larson
Band. Dale has recorded with Victor Wooten (Bela
Fleck) and Steve Lukather (Toto, Los Lobotomys),
and shared stages with Bill Bruford (King Crimson,
Earthworks), Ted Nugent, Buddy Miles, Steve Morse
Band, and The Dixie Dregs. TLB recently took top
honors for Instrumental Rock Album at the JPF Music
Awards, the largest music awards program in the
world, widely considered the 'Independent Grammys'.
Nominees for the 2006 awards were selected from
over 350,000 songs and over 25,000 albums in 67
genres from 85 Countries. When not on the road with
TLB, Dale maintains a full roster of students at
the Drum Circuit, a Five Star drum shop in San Luis
Obispo, California.
Dale
loves the performance and flexibility he gets with
his R.E.T. Percussion Fusion PRO-EX drumset. “When
I travel with TLB, we do a lot of in-store appearances
and clinics, where volume can be an issue. I used
to kill myself, trying to play our technical, rock-oriented
songs at low volume on acoustic drums…it was
a nightmare. But now, with my R.E.T.’s, no
matter where I’m playing, I can just do my
thing, without altering my normal technique or dynamics,
and my sound is album-perfect every time. I can
just concentrate on playing drums! Also, the quality
and aesthetic impact of the R.E.T. drums are just
amazing. People at shows ask me about these beautiful
drums more than any other kit I’ve ever owned.”
